About Car Travel Games
A site of car games and travel tips for families, online since 2003.
car-travel-games.co.uk started in 2003 with a free book of car games and puzzles for families: the one you can still download from the printables page, cartoon dad and all. Over the next few years it grew into a collection of games, travel tips and a small online shop selling travel toys.
The shop closed a long time ago. What was worth keeping were the games and the advice: the rules for I Spy, Pub Cricket and Car Snooker, a checklist for the day of the journey, a guide to crabbing off the pier. Most of it was written by parents who had done a lot of long drives with children, and it shows.
What’s old and what’s new
In 2026 the site got a new look. The rules and tips are the originals, tidied up: we fixed the typos, took out the adverts for things you can no longer buy and sorted the games by age. The printable sheets are redrawn from the 2003 activity book, with the same items and the same scores.
What’s new are the tools: the bingo card maker, the break planner, the number plate checker and the converter for driving in Europe.

What we don’t do
There are no accounts, no newsletters, no pop-ups and no cookies. The tools work on your own phone or computer, and nothing you type into them is sent anywhere. The details are on the privacy page.
